Elon Musk versus the BBC
The writing below is only written with regards to the following video, up to 4:12.
I want to state a fact as I understand it:
Humans soak up information, which is then used to form opinions and inform decisions.
We use our 5 senses to acquire information from the world around us, and exchange information with other members of our species in order to determine a consensus on reality.
For matters that transpire outside the reach of our 5 senses, we have long-used tools with which to acquire that information. Hundreds of years ago, it may have been an emissary or a spy; or perhaps for the common person, a letter from someone living a particular far-off location.
These days, it is a media outlet that employs journalists, or it is through communicating with other members of our species via social media.
We are encouraged to abandon the exchange of information with other members of our species in order to solely rely on information given to us by a media outlet.
Thus, if a media outlet is revealed to be providing us with false or misleading information, what good is it to the public, and why do we not get rid of it?
If it is discovered to be owned and operated by individuals who, perhaps due to their immense wealth, and therefore incomparable life experiences, do not share our values; or, in fact, individuals who could reasonably be suspected of harbouring a motive to mislead us in order to manipulate our behaviour so that we act in a way favourable to them, then surely the media outlet should be recognised as a threat.
There are only 2 possibilities that such a threat be recognised, and yet the media outlet remains active:
We, the public, are not able to operate as a united entity (whether due to outside hostile influence or not) and are therefore unable to organise ourselves into an authority to shut the media outlet down, or
The media outlet does not answer to us, and therefore operates despite our desire to shut it down.
I suspect there is a bit of truth to both of those ascertions.
It’s unfortunate then that media outlets that are recognised as to be feeding the public with false or misleading information should be able to continue operating with impunity, because as they do, so many members of our public become corrupted and become weaponsied against the rest of us.
Every moment that passes whereby a media outlet can act against us, is one more member of our public who will be used to coerce, threaten, bully or ridicule other members into accepting, or comforming to illogical, unscientific or outright dangerous ideologies.

Quite simply, I believe that nothing about the reality we’ve known since birth is genuine.
I believe that the legal system to which we’ve complied has been designed to undermine the natural freedoms we’re granted as soverign individuals.
I believe that the language we are exposed to by those who created and/or operating within the legal system is designed to confuse and coerce us.
I believe a level of conformity has been achieved to ensure none of us question this system, or rise against it.
I believe this conformity was achieved through the use of the media, and its ability to create cultures whereby subscribing members are encouraged to peer pressure those who would question it into silence.
I believe that this methodology has been applied to every single hashtag listed above, and is going to be used in order to attempt to usher in a level of China-style authoritarianism that would seek to wipe out any possibility that free people might come together to challenge the authority of the corrupt.
